Lloyd was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Newman-Millage American Legion Post No. Lloyd never slowed down this was evident not only in his work, but also in his past hobbies from his younger days which included flying planes, racing cars, driving speed boats, dancing, bowling, and hunting, which he loved to tell the stories of to his family. But he also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He seldom missed a day's work, unless it was to attend a sale or auction. Lloyd was at his happiest when behind the wheel, operating heavy equipment, hauling gravel, and grading roads throughout all of South Dakota. He and his sons went on to form Lloyd Priebe & Sons Construction, while continuing to operate the family farm. After his honorable discharge from the US Army, he returned home and bought the family farm near Pukwana where he and Aileen raised three sons, Michael, Steven, and Wesley. On April 4, 1949, he married the love of his life, Aileen Clutter. After high school, Lloyd worked construction and farmed with his family. He attended grade school in Ola and graduated from Pukwana High School in 1948. and Minnie (Klemenhagen) Priebe he was one of ten children. Lloyd Warren Priebe was born on Augin Chamberlain, SD to William J. Visitation will begin at the Zion Lutheran Church on Friday at 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Priebe, 87, of Chamberlain, SD will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Maat the Zion Lutheran Church in Chamberlain with burial in the Pukwana Cemetery at Pukwana.
